TSGroup has once again earned a place in IBM’s initiative to showcase successful implementations of its products and solutions at events around the world. This program, which IBM has developed and strengthened year after year, highlights outstanding customer success stories and innovative technology projects.
After several years of attending the event, this year we were selected to present the Votre–Leonisa success story to an even larger and more diverse audience. IBM Connect typically attracts more than 5,000 attendees, including customers, business partners, and IBM professionals from across the globe.
We are currently preparing to be speakers at IBM Connect 2016, which will take place in Orlando, Florida, from January 31 to February 3.
Our featured success story focuses on the upgrade to IBM WebSphere Portal for Leonisa, a company with a strong reputation both nationally and internationally. Let's take a closer look at the project and its outcomes.
Why IBM Portal and WCM?
Leonisa's previous proprietary solution presented several challenges:
- It was difficult to maintain.
- The content management capabilities were limited, lacking audience segmentation and offering only predefined text and images.
- Site administration and customization required significant IT involvement.
- Growing business demands increased the effort required to keep the platform aligned with organizational growth.
Ultimately, the existing solution posed a critical risk because it could hinder the company's strategic objectives. Leonisa needed a solution that could effectively support its business strategy while providing:
- A strong and scalable platform and infrastructure.
- A robust web content management system.
- Easy integration with the company's back-end applications.
- Support for the organization's growth objectives.
What Were the Challenges and Solutions?
The primary challenge of this project was managing the cultural transformation within the organization. However, as the project progressed, uncertainty gradually gave way to confidence and stability.
Expectation-building campaigns, training sessions, and user education initiatives were launched, while the solution was rolled out progressively. This approach allowed users to gain confidence in the new platform and enabled the organization to validate the solution in real-world scenarios across all operational dimensions.
What Benefits Did IBM Portal Deliver?
- The ability to execute its commercial strategy through digital channels.
- New marketing initiatives that had previously been difficult or impossible to implement.
- A robust platform capable of supporting business growth and long-term strategic objectives.
